Social media management and event photography for Now or Never festival.
City of Melbourne engaged Long Story Short to devise a social media strategy and manage the official event photography for its Now or Never festival.
Now or Never is Melbourne’s newest festival, where art and technology converge across audio-visual installations, adventurous performances and stirring discourse. Our mission was to curate social media content that matched the festival’s call for curiosity, creating a visual identity for NoN that was every bit as engaging and dynamic as the festival itself.
This involved original content creation, shooting and editing reels, moderating comments, responding to DMs, and caption copywriting. In the festival lead-up, we planned a clear strategy to build excitement through teaser posts, event summaries and ticketing announcements.
LSS was then on the ground to capture every Instagram-worthy moment across the two-week lineup – which we then edited and compiled into posts, stories and reels. We also oversaw a team of professional photographers for the official event photography.
The result was a suite of Instagram content that fully conveyed the large-scale, immersive nature of the lineup in order to drive ticket sales and engagement.
