Chase the light

Creative concept and production for Kathmandu’s AW23 Chase the Light campaign.
Story
Long Story Short was engaged by The Brag Media and Kathmandu to develop photographic and video campaign content for digital, social, and in-store usage. This included creative direction, casting, location scouting, and production.

Kathmandu’s Autumn messaging centred around the upbeat yet nostalgic mood during the transition between seasons – celebrating the sense of adventure when chasing those final sunny days. LSS developed a creative narrative for the campaign following outdoor enthusiasts in a playful pursuit of the season’s last light.
Photography and video treatments were planned to aesthetically capture the light’s phases and reminisce on shared memories of warmer days.
After the Victorian floods affected the initial shooting location, we organised a change of scenery in under a week. This took us to the picturesque Glasshouse Mountains in Queensland, giving us the perfect backdrop to stage a journey best undertaken dressed in layers from Kathmandu’s AW23 collection.
